Show 146 – Henry The Archer Vs Gout

Henry The Archer has been on of the hardest and most elusive bands to ever get on the show, and that sentence is a complete lie. Richard has been a friend of the show since year one, but this is actually the first time that Kevin, and the newest Henry The Archer member, Charles have been on the show. And it was a perfect week for them to come in since Matt was taking care of issues with his bottom. We talk the future of Henry the Archer, the path that their last album “Means Nothing” has taken, and how Charles is enjoying his new role within the band. We also touch a little bit on Geistnote and the importance of good audio cables. Also Indy 5, The Most Interesting Man Alive, Seinfeld auctions some cars, Radiohead goes on tour, and finally there was a terrible freestyle rap at the White House.

Also this Saturday, March 19th, is Fuzzed Out 2016 at Lola’s . Show starts at 4pm, is $10 and all ages. Lineup includes: Black Pussy, Mothership, Wo Fat, Southern Train Gypsy, Ape Machine, Duell, Crypt Trip, Great Electric Quest, In Memory of Man. If I were you I’d be there!

Show 145 – Do For It Does 35 Denton

Surprise, you get an extra episode this week! Susie, Matt, and Dustin took a trip up to Denton to see the 2016 Do For It Showcase for 35 Denton at the Abbey Underground. The results were captured on an SD Card and then converted for your own audio enjoyment. Feast your ears on interviews and songs from Shaolin Death Squad, Convoy and the Cattlemen, Mountain of Smoke, The Raven Charter, and In Memory of Man. Please remember this is a live show from a venue so the audio isn’t going to be perfect, but at least you get to enjoy a little of what the boys got to be a part of!

Show 144 – Shaolin Death Frye Charter Goes Bass Fishing

35 Denton is this weekend and what better way to kick it off then by having a bunch of the performers in the temple. First up representing the Do For It Records Showcase on Friday night at The Abbey Underground is Androo, Kelsey, and Dave #O’Hearn from the Shaolin Death Squad. Also joining us is bass player extraordinaire Anthony Sosa from The Raven Charter. And rounding out this fine round table is Denton’s very on goth pop princess, Jessie Frye. So much is covered, from the goings on in the Shaolin camp, to Jessie’s time with Bernie, the emergence of Boss Bitch Beer, what can be expected during the Do For It Showcase at 35 Denton, and why Matt will be leaking water next week. Also the boys were awarded a distinguished honor this week.

Show 89 – St. Paddy’s Day with New Magnetic North

The Irish suds were flowing as the boys welcome Jacob and Bob from New Magnetic North to the Temple of Eye. Also joining Matt and Dustin this week, filling in the Seth chair, is the one and only Rus from Waking Alice. The boys talk about the weekend at both the Waking Alice show at Tomcats and the Do For It Showcase at Andy’s for 35 Denton. Matt and Dustin also break out their new review system for the brand new House Harkonnen EP entitled Morphology. We learn about the history of New Magnetic North and how their track The Owls Are Not What They Seem wound up in the game Borderlands 2 not only as an in game track, but also in the intro cinematic. We are also joined midway through the show by Matt Redpants Thomas from Redpant’s Insignificant Podcast and the Confounded. And we all end up drunk from a $30 bottle of Guinness.
