JJTM Presents The Greatest: Depeche Mode

Susie and Dustin are on a road trip to Brownwood, Texas to visit a bookstore and one of the last wooden suspension bridges in the state, but en route, they go through Depeche Modes The Singles 86-98. Yes there are other collections, and yes, there is a sister set that goes with this, The Singles 81-85. But did you know it’s not available on Apple Music? So sit back, relax, and have your anal nitrates ready as we slowly venture through this collection, and a little more.

JJTM Presents The Greatest: The Beach Boys

This past November we took a trip down to the Texas Hill Country to view the Annular Solar Eclipse and I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to take a run through The Beach Boys Greatest Hits with a California girl who grew up loving them. Susie joins Dustin as they travel through the backroads of Texas going through the 50 big ones of what might be America’s biggest band. A lot of memories are shared, and you can’t talk Beach Boys without a little bit of Charles Manson talk. It’s a quick and fun ride through a catalog that influenced so many bands both here and abroad!

JJTM Presents The Greatest: Van Halen

Now for something entirely different. A few years ago Dustin came up with the idea to do a series of podcasts going through different artists’ greatest hits records while the boys are on road trips with each other or their close friends. Matt and Dustin recorded an episode late one night while driving home from SXSW several years ago and it got deleted somehow, so here is the resurrection of the series with its very first episode and super awesome guest host Jim Vallee, aka, DJ YoJimbo! We recorded this while sitting on the banks of the South Llano River in Junction, Texas a few hours after the Annular Eclipse passed over our heads. I hope you guys enjoy us knuckleheads going through this collection of Van Halen tracks and giving our approval and disdain for the tracks contained within it.

Episode 2 will be coming down the pipe soon!

Show 547 – Road Trip: Junction, Texas

We weren’t live this week because we were out on the road this past weekend and decided to do the show in the heart of the hill country, Junction Texas. Why were we all the way down there you might ask? Well, this little phenomenon called the Annular Eclipse happened to pass over that area and while the DFW area only saw 90% of the ring of fire, the hill country got the full ring of fire, and that’s not the only ring of fire they saw that weekend. So please sit back and enjoy listening to this one as we recorded it on the banks of the South Llano River with an audience of kayakers and white-tailed deer. This weekend was a blast and a big thank you to everyone that came down and spent the weekend with us.
