After several weeks on the road, we are back in the Temple again and it feels like sliding on a nine-year-old pair of worn in underwear! We survived the desert, a couple of mega monsters, a Ween army, and the old Rusty Nickel incident. But now we are home, and this week we welcome our friends Lance and Antoine from the Emo Otaku Podcast as well as our friend Dave Cave. If you haven’t had a chance to check out Emo Otaku yet, it’s a whole lot of nerdy and a lot of fun! We highly recommend giving them a listen and adding them to your podcast rotation. Dave finally shows up to promote and talk about his new ep he just released called Summer Suite, and it’s the perfect compliment to this summer’s chilling activities. This is a gold star episode, so stop reading this and start listening to it!
Following on the heels of the already award-winning parts 1 & 2 from the JJTM vs BBNP trip, here comes parts 3 & 4. This episode starts off in a cute little trailer at El Cosmico in Marfa and ends on the road between Balmorhea and Pecos. This episode is the cap to an epic week with a bunch of epic friends! Memories were made and moments were shared that will never happen again! This is what life should be like!
A huge thank you to Jeremie, Jim, Andrew, Susie, and Mandy for coming out here with us.
We’ve talked about it for months, and this week it finally happened; JJTM vs Big Bend National Park. The boys and a bunch of their friends headed out to the absolute best spot in Texas. Period. Camping in the remote Chihuahuan Desert with only the supplies they brought and the knowledge they have acquired to adapt and survive. It’s been one of the best trips we have EVER HAD, and if you aren’t here, you missed out on some epic adventures and experiences. A lot of stacking and communicating to mother nature has been had so far. The desert doesn’t forget!
A huge thank you to Jeremie, Jim, Andrew, Susie, and Mandy for coming out here with us. It was the perfect group for this experience and it won’t be forgotten!
This one comes with a disclaimer and gets pretty heavy. Our guest this week has been a friend of the show since year one, and in that time he has gone through a ton of changes and growing up. Zachary, or to us, Zach, released a new record last week named “Hello, My Name Is Zachary” and it’s a collection of upbeat folk songs, even when he tries to be dark and serious. We do the show from the Side Door Bar located inside the Rusty Nickel and get interrupted here and there during the Stars/Kraken game. It’s a rollercoaster of a conversation, that bounces all over the place. If you need some damn good craft drinks, the Side Door is the place to go!
