Show 253 – JJTM Does SXSW 2018 Part 1

Powered by vodka, craft beer, and adderall the boys headed south with their JJTM Austin Branch Producer Jeremie into the heart of South By South West. With a little less then 48 hours to accomplish a grocery list of objectives, the boys began their Thursday evening at the Thrasher Vs Vans Showcase and ended 7 stops later at the Yellow Rose, then got up early on Friday to host two cruises for the New Nashville Riverboat Showcase on Lake Lady Bird in Downtown Austin. This show is an audio hodgepodge of insanity, and isn’t the best of quality at times. This episode also has it’s own drinking game; whenever you hear Matt or Dustin say the word “So” take a shot. You’re guaranteed to wind up with alcohol poisoning before the end of the show!

Show 242 – The Last Jedi Roundtable

The boys start 2018 off with an epic roundtable discussion of the latest installment of the Star Wars Saga, “The Last Jedi”. Matt “Robotuner Thomas, Dante Phea, and Aaron Sanchez join the boys to make up the disgruntled roundtable of disappointed and upset Star Wars fans. Spoiler warning: If you haven’t figured it out already from the first two sentences of this paragraph, we weren’t happy with this film. So enjoy listening to us complain about how Rian Johnson destroyed Jedi lore, disregarded the epic build up JJ Abrams laid out for him, and totally has no idea how time on continuity work in a film. We really thought it would be therapeutic to discuss this movie openly, but it seems that it just made us more angry and confused.

Show 223 – The Ned Files Part 2

You were warned almost a week ahead of time, here is the conclusion of the EPIC meet up with the Ned Files gang. We’ve been drinking, been in the sun, and did I mention that we had been drinking? Things start to get a little whacky as we get towards the end of the show, but doesn’t that seem to be the norm? Thank you to Becky, Danny, and Eric for meeting up and making this all happen. Show 222 – The Ned Files Part 1

Like when Scooby and the gang teamed up with the Harlem Globe Trotters, this has been a show in the making for years. Or imagine having a pen pal for years and finally traveling across the country to see them, and not only spend an afternoon and evening with them, but also see them perform in a band, at a venue, in a place you have never been! Two powerful forces collide in a Mexican restaurant in Garden Grove, California, The Ned Files and JJTM. Cherub, Becky, and Number 2 are reunited to sit down with Dustin as he took a little vacation to sunny So Cal. It was so much fun, and there was so much gold, that two shows were recorded. This first episode covers a lot; from Eric’s (Cherub) bands, Number 2’s movie career, Becky’s love for Morrissey, observations about So Cal, Warped Tour, Battle of the Bands, and of course drinking. So sit back and plug your earholes with a little bit of history and listen as Dustin was as giddy as a school girl sitting at the table with a reunited Ned Files. Closing out the episode is the track Awake by Eric’s band, The Sovereign Artist. Seriously go check them out!
