As our 10-year anniversary continues, we are joined this week by our good friends from the Me-Thinks. Except Trucker Jon couldn’t make it, so our other good friend Jessie Ingle stepped up to the plate to fill his role. It’s another fun evening of ridiculousness and fun with AI that might actually get us in trouble this time. Oh well.
This week the Marlin, Ray, and Trashpockets of the Me-Thinks hung out with the boys and there really isn’t much more to say then that. So many things were discussed and thrown around including a pretty fun game that allows you to get the know the Me-Thinks a little better. Maybe even better then you should! The Me-Thinks are celebrating Marlin and Trashpocket’s birthday this Saturday night at Lola’s with Squanto and Holy Moly. This will be an epic show not to be missed! Special thanks to our West Coast BFF Rebecca for being so extra special!

It’s been a 8 year hiatus since The Hourly Radio have taken the stage, and this weekend they play two North Texas shows to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their album History Will Never Hold Me. Friday night they take the stage at Three Links in Dallas and on Saturday they play Lola’s in Fort Worth. Later this month, Oct 28th, they will also be playing a show in New York City at Pianos. The boys talk to them about their history, the comeback, and what the future has in store. Speaking of the boys, Matt returns with a new nose and he explains what happened and what he had to go through. They also touch on the debates and the greatness of “Pussygate”, an amazing Risotto recipe from the Clinton emails, and the Leaner Report.
See The Hourly Radio Friday at Three Links with Clifffs, Shadows of Jets, and Blessed Isles and Saturday at Lola’s with The Burning Hotels, Shadows of Jets, and Blessed Isles.
Matt and Daniel from Southern Train Gypsy stop by this week to say goodbye, or is it really the end? Maybe just a extended hiatus? We get all the answers and the low down on what made them decide to hang it up and go out in a storm of fire and fury. Unfortunately Stubb’s is out because he lost his nose to a Saigon whore (more on that next week), but his seat is filled by the one and only Nick Russo from the band Duell. Nick tells the tale of his time at the Fort Worth Pep Rally over the weekend, and an intimate evening with Lord Tracy at Gas Monkey Live. We briefly break down the recently released Dallas Observer Music Awards Ballet and point out everything they got wrong, including leaving a certain award winning, nationally recognized podcast off the list. And Richard tells us about his Alumni SoFar show and we look forward to this weekends Art Goggle.
Southern Train Gypsy’s Final Show is October 22nd at The Grotto with Kill for Mother, The Me-Thinks, Huffer, Mean Motor Scooter, China Kills Girls. If you aren’t at this show then you’re STUPID!
The boys return to Texas Billiards again this week with their good friend Micheal Doty from the bands Duell, House Harkonnen, and Blood of the Sun. They find out what’s going on in all of Doty’s camp, how things are at the Tone Shop, and who would bang Sarah Palin. The boys also talk about their award from the Fort Worth Weekly, and give thanks to everyone that voted. Then there’s the chaos that happened at the Cowboy game…. This show is also completely debate free, so you can feel safe to detach yourself from the political arena!
