Show 518 – Let’s Pollinate

Stubbs is back this week, and it’s just the boys in the studio! There’s a bunch of engagement talk, a little Cicada talk, a little live music and Flickerstick mixed in, and a lot of nonsense that needed to be caught up on. Dustin shares his beef with Matt about Dallas being the best sports city, It’s now official that Amplified Live will no longer have rock shows, and if you live in the 76104 zip code you probably won’t live long. Oh well.

Show 517 – The Plum Boys Enter The Temple

This week it was a completely packed house as all five of the Plum Boys entered the Temple for the first time. Their latest album “She” was released in August of last year, and the band has been currently playing shows all over in support of it, including opening for A Flock of Seagulls at Tannhills a few weeks ago. Matt is out this week, so Susie sat in as we talked to the boys about their history, recording and singing, and what they have laid out for their future. They have a FREE show coming up on April 2nd at Tulips that is part of the monthly Amplify 817 series. Find out more about the Plum Boys here!

Show 516 – Gabby Returns to the Temple

EPOTS: Jeremie Perez

This week Gabby Minton and J/O/E return to the Temple and it’s Gabby’s turn to shine! Earlier this year she released her latest Don’t Make a Sound with an amazing video accompanying it. The boys talk to her about the video and how creepy cool it is, motherhood and being a musician, and what she has on the horizon. The boys also had a wild weekend bouncing around Fort Worth, and everyone passes judgment on Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Songs list.

Show 514 – Let’s Amplify 817

Producer of Show 514 – Jeremie Perez

This week the boys welcome to the Temple Theresa Davis and Rita Alfaro from the Fort Worth Public Library and Amplify 817. If you haven’t heard about the fantastic program that Amplify 817 is for local musicians, then you really need to check out this episode! Rita and Theresa share some of what makes our city a wonderful place for a program like this and how helpful it is for musicians of all levels. It’s also the first weekend of the Formula 1 2023 season, so Matt and Dustin have to spend some time discussing that and the new season of Drive to Survive on Netflix.

Special thanks to A.I. Javier from the Funky Panther Podcast and A.I. Jeff From Funkytown Podcast for providing assistance with this week’s intro and the wild stories about raccoons.
