Matt returns from the Mile High state and our good buddy Aaron Sanchez comes by to chit-chat with us. It’s another long show, but it’s hard to put a cap on things when you are having such great conversation. We also have a field report of Lollapalooza 2021 from the one and only Schmarlon.
Oh man…The Spectacle boys swung by with two friends, CR Humphrey and JJ Wilburn from the band Old Gray Mule, who had just flown in from a quick tour in Australia. Needless to say, this show was insane from the start. We are sorry for the any audio chaos that might have occurred, but it’s to be expected when you have 8 people on mic. But it was a great night. James came with a bit where we rated the top metal albums released in 2014, Dustin had a bit that talked about the lyrical intelligence in national and local bands. Peter talked about animal dicks, and what to watch for while in the wild, and we find out about a new family fun game called Dave or a Skintag. Plus we try and finish off a keg of Hoppy Seconds from the Uppercut Brew boys.
As the title implies, this is the show before Mikes final live performance with his band Redefine, and in typical JJTM fashion the guys are all over the map! Guitarist extrodinaire Chris Apaliski also joins the guys in studio to talk about Mike’s replacement, if he’ll even be missed, and the future of Redefine. We also talk about NYC, the Waco Twin Peaks shooting, lines in songs that we hate, Nine inch Nails, and Faith No More. Plus boobie emails!
Surprise! It’s a rare point 5 episode live from Brew Riot 2015 in the Bishops Arts District of Dallas. Listen as Matt and Dustin gradually get wasted as the show goes on and begin their own riot. They hang with various people visiting the festival, and of course almost all of the Uppercut Staff working their booth. So let’s give a special thanks to the Uppercut Brew Club for having us out and letting us hangout in their tent. All of you guys are absolutely amazing and we can’t wait till your beers are internationally known. Until then, lets continue to raise a glass and toss a few back, because this live show got ridiculous!
Note: We kept the music between segments really short in order to move the live broadcast along. The record version you hear here only has 10-20 seconds of the songs playing.
Rus joins the boys this week and doesn’t have anything to promote! They all discuss the HBO documentary Montage of Heck, the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, the T-shirt auction, Wildflower Fest, and the upcoming Brewriot. Also there is an announcement about the next Henry The Archer video shoot, and an upcoming road show. The show gets massively derailed when a favorite listener sends in a secret pic, leaving all of the guyd speechless. Matt turns the table on the band bio bit and reads the old Eye Was Once Eaten Bio from Reverbnation. And of course there is all sorts of crazy news stories and emails!
