Show 476 – A Prideful Brian

Our buddy Brian Breckenridge is back in the Temple this week. We spend some time catching up with what Stubb’s has been up to, including breaking down women’s fashion at country concerts vs metal concerts. We also break down Disney’s whack attempt at turning the entire Star Wars fanbase into racists. The Queen is a hologram, proving she’s dead. And why the hell is everything moving to the Westside of Fort Worth?

Show 475 – The Jet…Noise?

Tonight, after a long holiday weekend of remembering those that fought for our freedoms by buying a couch and a television, our friends from the Jet Noise stop by the Temple. On June 10th they will be releasing their new record “Why Won’t My Friends Help Me Move” at Growl Records. This will be the last chance to see Chris play drums for this band as he’s moving off to the wild wild West. So come out and support the boys as they do that thing they do!

Show 474 – Just Two Mediocre White Guys

This week we come to you as the official Fort Worth podcast for the 2022 World Economic Forum in Davos. And with so much responsibility and power, we believe that our purpose is to inform all of you of how two mediocre white guys are going to take over the globe. At least according to the Fort Worth Weekly, as podcasters, we fall into the realm of mediocre white guys. But we also spend a lot of time solving the rest of the world’s problems, while also creating more questions. This is a show that will definitely go down in history. And there is a secret easter egg at the end!

Show 473 – The Whiskey Let Down

Executive Producer of Show 473 – Jeremie Perez

The boys return to the Temple this week and bring along their friend Juma Spears to hang out and talk a bunch of noise while enjoying some whiskey and beer. Slipknot and Metallica both have released whiskeys over the past year and it was time to put them to the test to see which one was better. A coworker of Dustin’s also gave him a Kerel Kaishaku beer from Belgium and the boys have a go at that. There’s a bunch of drinking and a bunch of inappropriate things said, but that’s just a normal Tuesday around the Temple, right?

Show 472 – Peace Out West 7th

Executive Producer of Show 472 – Jeremie Perez

For the past 14 years, Lola’s Saloon on 6th Street has been an institution in the Fort Worth scene. Rising out of the ashes of the Wreck Room, owner Brian Forella created a space where misfits, heathens, barons, and idealists could all come together and drink in an atmosphere that felt like home. Lola’s has been a giant middle finger to what the West 7th Area has become, and the time has come for a change of scenery. So for the Saloons’ final night, we were asked to come down and do our show before Big Mike Richardson took the stage to close the place out. We were honored to be joined by (in order of appearance) Susie Ramone, Matt Thomas, Sam Anderson, Juma Spears, Matt Mabe, Brian Forella, Kevin Robinson, Dan Allen, Steedo Smith, Whitney Raquel, Johnny Govea, and Mike Surdel. So cheers to this era of Lola’s, and peace out West 7th, we’re all headed to someplace cooler.
