Show 491 – One Last MASS

Executive Producer of Show 491 – Jeremie Perez

This week we do the show from Main At South Side for one last time. Only three days are left of this beautiful box on the southside of Fort Worth that has served as a home for misfits and musicians alike. We chat with Cameron Smith and Mark Randall about their memories of MASS and what their futures look like. This Friday night will be the final show at MASS with our friends Royal Sons and North by North. So be there, or be a loser.

Show 490 – Van Damme It

Executive Producer of Show 490 – Jeremie Perez

This week our old buds Russo, James, and Doty visit the Temple to talk to us about their new band Van Damme, and if you haven’t checked out the two-song single they released last week, do it ASAP! They are riding high off their first show at Three Links this past Saturday, so we see what they have in plan and what is going on with all the other bands these guys are in. We end up drinking a lot…like a whole lot…so much that one of the hosts of this very show had to catch a ride home, but that’s to be expected when our bros make a visit!

Van Damme’s single is available on all streaming platforms right now!

Show 489 – Fort Worth Roots, Bloody, Roots

About two months ago we invited our buddy Andrew Turner of the Fort Worth Roots Podcast into the Temple for his first visit, but those Funky Panther Boys quickly derailed it. We joke, actually the whole chaos of our 9-year anniversary derailed the entire night, so we thought we would invite Andrew back, especially on the week of his 100th episode anniversary. This Saturday from 1-6 Andrew is taking over Pouring Glory to celebrate the 100th episode of his podcast. There will be live music, comedy, swag bags, door prizes, a vendor market, and of course, podcasting. So come down between 1-6pm on Saturday and have a few beers, eat some great food, and get a little crazy. IT will for sure be a good time!

Show 488 – Averi Burk at the Post

For a while now we have been told by a bunch of people that we needed to have Averi Burk on the show. In fact, it might be one of our most requested guests in a really long time. Well, the day has come and we sat down with her for a little chat at the Post before she took the stage for her weekly Tuesday night residency. Not only is she a super talented musician, but she’s extremely personable and fun to talk with. We dive into a little bit of her history growing up in the mid-cities and what she has on the books coming up. Then in the second half of the show, we come up with a few new Go Fund Me ideas and Dustin has a new reality show he wants to shop around. Plus a lot of Netflix and chill talk.

Check out Averi on all the major music platforms and at averiburk.com

Show 487 – A Little Hood Cream

There are some shows that go from zero to a hundred in the blink of an eye, and that’s exactly what happened this week as our friends Denver Williams and BK stopped by the Temple to hang out. Denver is celebrating the 8 year anniversary of his album Hood Cream with a show at Lola’s on August 31st. He and The Gas Money will perform the album and have a few other special surprises for those that come out and celebrate this occasion. BK will give you a hug…Maybe…
