This week Gabby Minton and J/O/E return to the Temple and it’s Gabby’s turn to shine! Earlier this year she released her latest Don’t Make a Sound with an amazing video accompanying it. The boys talk to her about the video and how creepy cool it is, motherhood and being a musician, and what she has on the horizon. The boys also had a wild weekend bouncing around Fort Worth, and everyone passes judgment on Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Songs list.

Show 514 – Let’s Amplify 817

This week the boys welcome to the Temple Theresa Davis and Rita Alfaro from the Fort Worth Public Library and Amplify 817. If you haven’t heard about the fantastic program that Amplify 817 is for local musicians, then you really need to check out this episode! Rita and Theresa share some of what makes our city a wonderful place for a program like this and how helpful it is for musicians of all levels. It’s also the first weekend of the Formula 1 2023 season, so Matt and Dustin have to spend some time discussing that and the new season of Drive to Survive on Netflix.

Show 513 – Visit Fort Worth & 88 Killa

We’re all still recovering from a wild weekend that all began Friday at the Visit Fort Worth annual meeting, and our buddy Andrew (From Fort Worth Roots Podcast) sat in this week to help fill some of our lapses in memory. We talk a little about the conference, there will be more of that to come, but mainly talk about all the chaos that ensued after the meeting…and for the next 36 hours. We are also joined by the great Fort Worth Hip Hop artist 88 Killa who we have wanted to have on the show for a while now. Besides putting out a solid and consistent string of bangers, 88 Killer also hosts his own podcast, Keeping it Kool with Killa. This Sunday he will be playing a show at Tulips for Amplify 817 that is 100% free to attend. Come out and let’s get that place crazy! Susie and Ivy join us as we travel down the rocky road of relationships, dating, and the impending alien invasion. We try and figure out if Taylor Swift is a clone or a board or both, and talk about the greatness that was Rihanna’s Super Bowl performance. There are lots of hearts, chocolates, flowers, as well as whips and chains in this episode. We may be bad, but we are perfectly good at it!
