Show 246 – Jake Kemp Enters The Temple

It’s always awesome when a guest comes to the Temple and immediately feels like the fit right in. And that’s exactly how it felt with our guest this week, the great Jake Kemp. Jake is the cohost of his podcast It’s Just Banter and can be heard weekdays from noon to three as the producer of BaD Radio on Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket. Of course we talk about his role up at the little Ticket, and we talk about It’s Just Banter, but we also get into growing up in the Mid Cities, more on the Fort Worth vs Dallas debate, the Hawaii missile crisis, the Super Bowl, Dustin’s trip to Anaheim, and the meme floating around that is destroying friendships.

Show 244 – iNcelta and 180 Sh**holes

Cody Cannefax, the main man behind iNcelta, made his first pilgrimage to the Temple of Eye. In a hard hitting interview full of various forms of the term “sh**hole” and equipped with his manifesto, Cody led the boys through the world he created for the track Lasserie and might have tried to convert them to his cult. Or at least a cult might have been seeded. Things got a little odd and tingly as the evening went on, even Ulrich shows up in a Metallica hoodie. Of course the boys take full advantage of “shithole gate” and abuse all the new found power that CNN and MSNBC have given to them. Theres also talk of Aziz Ansari, the Hawaii false warning, Dustin is pissed, MLK day gets the shaft, and the there is a new bit called What’s in Matt’s Case Logic Case.

Show 243 – NR/CD Impregnate The Temple

This Thursday night NR/CD, The Real Tenacious D Tribute, is doing a show at Texas Billiards in Watauga so they came by the Temple to get warmed up. It’s a JJTM first that a band has played the intro, middle, and outro songs LIVE in studio. It was pretty magical. The boys also get into a little bit of silliness with Nick and Casey as they discuss the hate for the Fort Worth metal scene, apocalyptic bikes, the Sunshine Bar, Duell, emails, eatables and a whole other bunch of nonsensical crap. It’s a wang pang pu-tang of a time in the Temple tonight!
