Show 232 – Dead Vinyl Enter The Temple

After months of contract negotiations and tour rider adjustments, Dead Vinyl finally make a trip to the Temple of Eye and their timing couldn’t be better. This Friday night at Lola’s Dead Vinyl release their new Ep, Gold Mind with Matt Tedder and The Royal Sons. It’s going to be a fun night of good rock n roll. It’s also Matt’s birthday, so we exchange gifts and hear about his man on man camping trip. New terminology was invented while on said camping trip. Dustin had a quick trip to New York City, and reveals that he has once pee’d blood. Harvey Weinstein is a creep, duh. And there is a little bit of funeral talk.

Show 231 – Do For It With Dragon Semen

It’s that time of year again. Yep, the annual Do For It Records Halloween shows are upon us, happening this year on October 27th at The Curtain Club in Dallas and 28th at Andy’s in Denton. Performances include:

Shaolin Death Squad with members of Betray the Dreamer and Jessie Frye Band as ALICE IN CHAINS
The Spectacle as BLACK SABBATH
The Me-Thinks as THE SEX PISTOLS
Huffer as SYSTEM OF A DOWN
Krautstein as RAMMSTEIN

If you’ve never attended one of the Do For It Halloween shows you are really missing out. It’s one of the best nights of music and camaraderie that happen during the year. Joining the boys in studio to discuss the shows is James (Spectacle), Dave (Spectacle, Shaolin Death Squad), Androo (Shaolin Death Squad), Trashpockets and Marlin (Me-Thinks). And of course when you have that much ADHD contained in one room, things get bizarre and really wild. So strap in and get ready for a crazy one.

Show 230 – WTF!?!

After what might have been the worst week since this show began, we bring you a heavy one. There’s a lot of anger, a lot of confusion, a lot of heartache, and a whole lot of emptiness. We tossed it around as to whether or not we should do a show this week, thankfully we did. Right or wrong, it felt good to get some of the emotion we had bottled up inside out. The show begins with a visit from our new media crew, the Haltom High School Yearbook staff. They are doing a huge centerfold and exposé on Ulrich for the yearbook, he is the future of broadcasting! They help bring a little levity to the show before we take a swan dive into darkness. We know this one is long, but we REALLY hope you can ride this one out and make it till the end. And as always, we would love to hear from you, and get your thoughts and feelings about what has happened over the last week. If you just need a place to vent your frustrations, pain, or anger leave us a message on our voicemail. We also blanket the show with some of our favorite Tom Petty songs, a loss that shocked both of us.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to those that have lost a loved one or have been effected by the tragedy in Vegas.
