Show 77 – Should Old Acquaintance Be Forgot…

And just like that, 2014 has come to an end. But we couldn’t think of a better way to spend or final show of 2014 then with some of our closest friends! Seth was out sick this week, so sitting in his place was the one and only Jeffery Lord from the Funkytown Podcast. Also joining us was frequent emailer and our friend Bigfoot, lead singer extraordinaire of Waking Alice Mr. Russ Chaney, and the one and only Matt Redpants Thomas from The Confounded and future podcaster! And sitting in the Wil Chair this week, the often imitated but never duplicated, Wil Dumke is back!

We talk about everything that entertained us in 2014, discuss our favorite albums, fly through some ridiculous news stories, figure out why Jeff hasn’t seen any movies, figure out what the Robotuner’s Insignificant Audio Occurrences is all about, and invent Terminal D. We also disclose what kind of loot we got over the past week, drink a little beer, and let Redpants run the show for a little bit to see what kind of host he really is.

Show 76 – And A Podcast In A Pear Tree

The Boys are flying solo for the most part of this week, until Jennifer stops in and discusses Serial and it’s grand finally. Matt gets super aggravated by an evil email sent to him and plays it up the entire show, Seth shows everyone an amazing health video, and Dustin believes the North Korea hacking is all a scam. They also disclose what happened after their trip to the Empire Recording Studios X-Mass Party, and laugh about the injuries and outcome.

But the most important thing from this show is the gift of music that the JJTM band featuring Richard Hennessy (Henry The Archer) give to their hands. Enjoy the most important Holiday song every recorded, Goodbye Horses.

Show 75 – There’s An Otter loose in the Temple

Patrick ”Otter” Gonzales from the band Night Gallery joins the guys in studio and like a true professional he brought his own set up of Jack Daniels, Coke, and ice. What an absolute pro! The guys talk everything from Night Gallery, iTunes removing “white power” music, drinking with diabetes, the Sony leaks, Imdb’s top 10 of 2014, the local music scene, and Serial. Unfortunately they didn’t have a chance to talk about this past weekends activities that included a party at Empire Recording Studio and a little bit of in fighting at Sparks.

Tune in next week when the JJTM band featuring Richard Hennessey from Henry The Archer release the greatest Christmas song ever!

Show 74 – The Night We Killed Redefine

They say it’s all fun and games until someone cuts a giant gash in their finger and blood goes everywhere. Blood on the floor, blood on the wall, blood on the table, blood on our shoes, there was SO MUCH BLOOD! All because Chris (guitarist extraordinaire from Redefine) wanted a beer. Yes, This week Chris and Mike (bass) from Redefine joined the guys in studio, in what might have been the most out of control JJTM show to date. The band opens up and talks about their new album The Harbinger King, recording with the great Alex Gerst, and their completely badass Tool set during the Halloween Do For It show at Curtain Club. There’s even a guest appearance by Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett. This one is a little long, but so worth it, and so much fun!

Be sure to see Redefine for a FREE show January 23rd at the Abbey Underground in Denton, Texas.

We also talk about the Whiskeyboy Radio controversy, try to clear the air, and why Dustin didn’t appear on the show this past Monday. Plus Dimebag talk, Chinese mother that tries to eat her baby, Kirk Cameron is awful, Coldplay says goodbye, and a list of great shoe gaze bands.

Show 73 – Space Docking for Syndication

Unfortunately tonights guests had to reschedule for super important reasons, but that’s okay, because the boys needed a relaxing show with just themselves. And it got really stupid, really fast. The guys discuss their Thanksgiving activities and Dustin’s trip to NYC. Seth discusses his new living arrangements and the unbalance of testosterone in his house. Matt wants to punch people while he’s out shopping. There’s Space Docking, Beer is still pretty good. Uk has stupid laws for their porn. And We run through Mr Skins best of 2014 list before stealing an ambulance and driving to a strip club.
