Show 72 – Taint Modeling With The Me-Thinks

After months of negotiations and back and forth between lawyers, The Me-Thinks finally join the boys in studio and things quickly turn to taint modeling. Apparently there is a massive call for taint modeling in Europe right now, and it’s greatly effected The Me-Thinks. We all learn about taint implants, taint reduction, taint trimming, taint grooming, and taint-jazzeling. The guys talk history, their chaotic shows, odd venues, Sons of Anarchy, and the low ceilings at the Aardvark.  Ferguson and the stupidity involved there gets a knowing nod, there’s earthquakes in Dallas, Phuc Kieu gets arrested, tapeworms suck, and the 12 worst ways to be tortured. Plus we finally get to your emails this week! Keep them coming.

Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving weekend. Try not to get stabbed.

Show 71 – Betray The Dreamer Inside the Temple

This week the prog/metal band Betray The Dreamer joined the guys in the studio and perform their track “Transmissions” acoustically. These guys are a set of interesting dudes that are also members of several other Dallas prog bands. Really cool guys and it was great having them in studio.
Matt also talks about his time at “Jesus/Bible camp” and how he must repent for his sins. Then he blows out the preamp which leads to crazy static off and on. Docking is explained. A school gets punched in the face, the Foo Fighters songs are ranked, Billy Corgan still sucks, and the most disgusting story we have ever talked about ends the show.

Show 70 – Do For It in the Temple

This one was a lot of fun and a complete nerd out about local D/FW music. Two bad ass front men, James from The Spectacle and Andrew from Shaolin Death Squad, joined us in studio to talk all things Do For It Records. The guys talk about the fantastic Halloween party they threw at the Curtain Club, the label’s current roster, and what they have brewing for a big 2015. Plus they brought us a big ole bag of goodies! It was an entertaining and serious conversation that was a totally geek out fest. Seth even said he learned a few things!

After the final song, there’s a clip from The Ned Files as they open the package we sent them. The box of fun led to all sorts of insanity.

Show 69 – Night Lights Enter the Temple of Eye

Show 69 turned into information overload with two fantastic sets of guests, so we decided to divide it into 2 shows. The Dallas band Night Lights kicked off the evening introducing themselves to the guys and sharing their history. It didn’t take long for the band to relax and the conversation turn to typical JJTM humor. Night Lights doesn’t fit into the normal mold of JJTM bands, but that isn’t a bad thing. It’s nice to break away from what your comfortable with and enjoy something new and refreshing.

Keep an eye out on Friday for The second half of this episode when we are joined by James and Andrew from Do For It Records.

Show 68 – They All Can’t Be Zingers

With the mid-term elections coming to an end, the boys decide to be your one true source of all things election. But it quickly fails and the show goes down hill from there. They do discuss the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,  and the local D/FW bands that deserve to be in the JJTM Hall of Fame. They also morn the passing of Wayne Static and touch on the Do For It Halloween Show. And finally the question is asked, could the guys survive for a week in Black Rock for Burning Man? The guys are sorry and will give out refunds for this episode.
