After a successful journey out to the West Coast, the boys are back and sitting down with the greatness of Bruce Magnus.
The Bruce Magnus boys have just wrapped up recording their second album with Joe Tacke and are plotting a plan for global dominance over the next few months. It was fun to sit down with them and see what kinda magic they have up their sleeves.
There we were getting ready to do another show this week from the Temple with our guest, Fort Worth artist extraordinaire Jay Wilkinson, when the news came down that Tin Panther only had a couple of more days with us. We’ve been wanting to do a show from up there for quite a while, so we packed up the road gear and relocated this week’s show into the Tin Panther’s bowels. At midnight on Thursday, the Tin Panther will shut its doors for good, with the future in the air for Tyler and crew. We sit down with Jay and talk about his future and the upcoming fall gallery night, NYC, Haunted House Mafias, and what bars still have the best restrooms in Fort Worth. Our podcast buddy Susie hangs out for a bit, before being joined by the Tin Panther’s own Charlie. Nick and Belvedere from Duell stop by and hop on the mics, as well as Sheridan and LuLu to wrap things up. It was a fun evening with friends from all over, enjoying the Panther one last time! You have till Thursday at midnight to stop by, pay your respects, and soak up some alcohol!
It’s a documented fact that every time Sheridan makes a visit to the Temple the show is ridiculously crazy and turns into some of the funniest shows we’ve ever done. Well, this week is no exception as she brings along Courtney and Lulu to push things into the red. It gets crazy 20 secs in and none of us let off the pedal until it’s over. Boundaries were pushed but, it was a wonderful evening with these ladies.
This week is a special episode of JJTM as we reach deep into our archives and pull out some of the music that has been sent to the show, recorded in the Temple, or just made up for the hell of it. It includes performances by the JJTM Lonely Hearts Band, Matt “Robotuner” Thomas, Jeffery Lord, I Happy Am, Becky from the Nedfiles, The Cut Throat Finches and a few others. Also in the mix are some of the silly old promos we recorded back when we first started the show. We are always thankful when you guys take the time to create songs and content for our silly little show. You all are amazing, thank you for all that you do!
I’m sorry. This weeks episode is full of vulgar language accompanied by radical thoughts and opinions, and for that, I am deeply sorry. See, just a few minutes before we went live tonight I found out that Trump has decided to ban all travel to Cuba, just a couple a days before we set sail. So I ask that you please forgive my anger this week as Matt and I try and trudge through the show, poking fun at local ministers instead. I’m gonna need some vodka. – Dustin
