Surprise! It’s a rare point 5 episode live from Brew Riot 2015 in the Bishops Arts District of Dallas. Listen as Matt and Dustin gradually get wasted as the show goes on and begin their own riot. They hang with various people visiting the festival, and of course almost all of the Uppercut Staff working their booth. So let’s give a special thanks to the Uppercut Brew Club for having us out and letting us hangout in their tent. All of you guys are absolutely amazing and we can’t wait till your beers are internationally known. Until then, lets continue to raise a glass and toss a few back, because this live show got ridiculous!
Note: We kept the music between segments really short in order to move the live broadcast along. The record version you hear here only has 10-20 seconds of the songs playing.
We went a little long, but it was worth it! Aaron and William from the Off Radar Podcast join the boys in studio to talk a whole lot of podcast crap. William tells every one about the completely epic journey he is about to embark on, and Aaron lays out his plans for Off Radar while William is gone. Mike D joins the guys again to continue his bridge burning tour, counting down the days till his epic journey. The guys discuss the abrupt retirement of Seth which caused a little bit of confusion, and scratch their heads at the future. The crew also rips on the Podcast Movement coming to Fort Worth, a crazy Scientology article, a chick in Round Rock, Andrew WK has a new show, and the downfall of Bonnaroo, Martin House’s new beer, Beerman, Ska in Denton, and the crazy storms that have rolled through. Plus a new Nirvana tribute album with bands we love.
Check out the Off Radar boys on their website, or Facebook, and of course on Itunes, Stitcher, or any other podcast app.

And just like that, 2014 has come to an end. But we couldn’t think of a better way to spend or final show of 2014 then with some of our closest friends! Seth was out sick this week, so sitting in his place was the one and only Jeffery Lord from the Funkytown Podcast. Also joining us was frequent emailer and our friend Bigfoot, lead singer extraordinaire of Waking Alice Mr. Russ Chaney, and the one and only Matt Redpants Thomas from The Confounded and future podcaster! And sitting in the Wil Chair this week, the often imitated but never duplicated, Wil Dumke is back!
We talk about everything that entertained us in 2014, discuss our favorite albums, fly through some ridiculous news stories, figure out why Jeff hasn’t seen any movies, figure out what the Robotuner’s Insignificant Audio Occurrences is all about, and invent Terminal D. We also disclose what kind of loot we got over the past week, drink a little beer, and let Redpants run the show for a little bit to see what kind of host he really is.
We are so sorry for this episode. What was hyped up to be a great contest to show our vast knowledge of religions turned into chaos and confusion. But it was still pretty entertaining. Plus we had the great Elif in studio with us again, and Dustin sat down with Anthony from Floor as they rolled through town on their North American tour supporting their new album Oblation.
A big shout out to the other shows that are a part of the Speakeasy Syndicate: Whiskeyboy Radio, The Ned Files, Pod About Nothing, and Funkytown Podcast
We are rapidly approaching our one year anniversary, and in an attempt to try and streamline the show and deliver the highest quality content for you we’ve arranged a little survey. We would love for you to take a few minutes to answer these 5 questions so we can focus on what to keep and what to get rid of (no, getting rid of Seth isn’t an option). We appreciate everyone of you, and as you know from listening to the show, we love getting feedback from our fans and listeners!
