Show 202 – The We-Thanks

This week the Marlin, Ray, and Trashpockets of the Me-Thinks hung out with the boys and there really isn’t much more to say then that. So many things were discussed and thrown around including a pretty fun game that allows you to get the know the Me-Thinks a little better. Maybe even better then you should! The Me-Thinks are celebrating Marlin and Trashpocket’s birthday this Saturday night at Lola’s with Squanto and Holy Moly. This will be an epic show not to be missed! Show 200 – True Love Wins on the S**t Cruise

Here we are at Show 200, something Matt and I never thought would happen. When we started this thing off we thought it would be just something to screw around with until we got bored, but like a jar of sea monkeys, it grew into something that we totally weren’t expecting. We’ve made a lot of friends and pissed off a lot of people through these 200 shows, but we are truly grateful for those that have shown support and made us want to keep doing this week to week. This episode comes to you recorded live at Texas Billiards with our good friend Aaron Sanchez from Off Radar podcast sitting in. Also making surprise guest appearances are Matt “Robotuner” Thomas from Robotuner’s Audio Diorama, Gary, and from out of no where our old friend Claudia. We discuss the Carnival Shit Cruise, being gay in public, Aaron’s troubled horizon, Jeffry’s Hippy Bathday, seniority in the workplace, Ghost, Pearl Jam, oral police officers, serial, 10 questions with Aaron, and a bunch of great emails and voicemails.

The answer is what might be the worst show ever recorded, except for the last 15 minutes when Stubb’s girlfriend took over his mic . This one sat on the verge of deletion, and might not be around long, so listen while you can. Oh and some spare band called Drag The Ocean was introduced and interviewed.

Show 197 – The Royal Sons Enter The Temple

This one is long, but so worth it. Blake and Javier from the new formed Royal Sons swing by the Temple to chat with the boys, and preview their upcoming show this Friday night at Lola’s with the Burning Hotels. The show starts with Matt and Dustin running through a few things that happened over the weekend, including Dustin getting into a fight and breaking some dude’s nose. The show ends with the entire room discussing the new Eagles of Death Metal Documentary on HBO, and how much of a tear jerker it is. It’s a fun and heavy episode of the JJTM this week.

Show 196 – Lonely Goth Pop Princess Jessie

It’s Valentine’s Day and we were joined by fellow black heart and good friend Jessie Frye. The boys open the show with a silly bit from long dead superfan Peter Steele and his request for Jessie. They talk about the weekend string of Brutal Juice, Spectacle, and Mountain of Smoke shows in Denton and Fort Worth and Dustin talks about his trip to Austin for a photoshoot and his literal Downward Spiral on the way home. Jessie discloses what she’s been up to for the past year, including take a little time off after her father’s passing, getting back into the groove of things, creating new music, and returning to the studio. Since it’s Valentine’s Day the boys of course have to question Jessie about sex and relationships, including a few questions from emails and voicemails that came in. Dustin also has a bitch about Boss Bitch and why the succulent liquid hasn’t touched his lips in a while. The boys close out with 10 questions for Jessie Frye and the great Adele vs Beyonce debate.
