Show 103 – Nick Fights The Foo

Our friend Nick Russo, drummer for the epic band Duell joined us in studio this week to talk about the band, their 3 nominations in the Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards, and the current whirl wind of shows they are playing. Then we get into Nick’s ridiculous tales of his time with the Foo Fighters; Seeing them on the garage tour in Dallas, the secret show at the Metro in Chicago, Lollapalooza, and helping Dave write the setlists. We also receive a phone call from James from the Spectacle to talk about a music video we are going to be a part of, and to promote their upcoming release on July 11th. And thank you to everyone that called in this week, because you guys are making this voice mail bit a lot of fun!

Show 102 – Machine Gun Fingers

This week the boys are joined by some old friends, Josh and Ted, that have both served time in bands with Matt and Dustin. The four of them ride out tropical storm Bill as it beats down on the Temple. Matt talks about the 24 HIV sickness he had over the weekend while Dallas was being shot up by a whacko in a zombie apocolypse van. Dustin talks about Friday on the Green and the top 5 concert bits that he heard about on the Ticket. The boys also discuss what they are looking for as far as a new producer type for the show. Show 101 – A Bottle of Wine, A Bottle of Mead, and Some Sour Beer

“We haven’t had this much fun on a show in quite a while!” – Dustin

Mike D joins the boys in the studio one last time before he debarks on his new journey with Aerosmith. But before he goes, the boys put their spin on the McKinney Cop situation, give birth to an idea called Officer Stubbs, discuss the Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards ballot, Buzz hating Montage of Heck, and God hating Slipknot. Then before the break, the tears begin to swell as we say goodbye to Mike. Then as quick as he’s gone, Jessie Ingle shows up with his new girlfriend and the hits keep rolling. Plans are made for a trip to Hawaii, there’s disgrace with the Video Games Hall of Fame and they receive some of the best voicemails yet!

Show 100 – Atypical Jonestown Celebration

Well, the boys hit episode 100 and our friends Jason, Caitlin, and Chris from Atypical DFW Podcast join them in studio. Podcasts and musical videos quickly become the topic of conversation, but then things take a turn for the worse when Dustin begins talking about the explosion that happened in his house. Matt brings up an interesting question concerning HBO shows, then they all figure out if Adam Sandler has more crap then gold. You can now call and leave us voice mails! They also discuss the benefits of MyFreeImplants.com, the sex crazed cities in America, why California hates porn, why Thom Yorke rules, and how Mastodon dies.
