Show 185 – The Confounded…Three Years Later

It’s been three long years since The Confounded has visited the Temple of Eye, but it’s also been three long years since The Confounded has released any new music. Well all that changes this Saturday night as there new album “Three Years Later” is officially released, and a grand release party is going down at Lola’s Saloon. Josh and Matt join the boys this week to talk about what they have been going through the last three years making this record as they go through the album track by track. The boys also introduce their new producer, “robot producer” who seems to be somewhat effective, but not really. There’s Thanksgiving breastfeeding talk for those intrigued about that, the chaos that happened at Ohio State, the South Dakota situation, and the Tennessee fires.

The JJTM presents The Confounded, Huffer, and Mean Motor Scooter this Saturday at Lola’s in Fort Worth. It’s going to be amazing and The Confounded will have new shirts for sale!

Find out more about The Confounded here.

Show 184 – The 3rd Annual Stabbs-Giving Spectacular

We celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Stubbs getting his arm stabbed on Thanksgiving Eve in style, live at Texas Billiards with our friends Matt Thomas (Robotuner’s Insignificant Podcast, The Confounded) and Josh (Last name redacted, Drummer – Drag The Ocean). We start the show out with a quick memorial for KDGE “The Edge” as they ceased to exist after this past week. Then comes a little bit of sports before diving into Josh’s recent “trip” to the Middle East, protecting our country from stranger danger. We also discuss the new Confounded album and play the track “Swampy” before jumping into the long awaited Chuck Norris Interview Dustin did a few weeks back. Then as the show is getting ready to wrap up, out of nowhere comes our buddies Nick Russo and Belvedere from America’s favorite band Duell, with two L’s. It turns out to be a really long show, but a really good time. Thanks to everyone that made this Stabb’s-giving extra special.

The Confounded release their new album “Three Years Later” next Saturday, Dec 3rd at Lola’s with special guests Huffer and Mean Motor Scooter. Down beat is at 9pm. Be there, or fail at life!

Show 183 – Edward Brown Enters The Temple (With A Ton Of Beer)

The boys start out this show exactly where the last show left off, discussing the election and how the world is now going to end. The election has made everyone stupid and has role reversed the lovers and the haters. Ed Brown joins the boys this week and the conversation quickly turns to beer and local breweries. Ed brought over a ton of local craft brews and most of them were consumed before the end of the show, which always makes for a great bumbling podcast. This Sunday is the 2nd Annual Fort Worth Weekly Homebrew Throw Down at Panther Island Pavilion?s Shack. Part homebrew contest, part beer festival, the Homebrew Throwdown will once again feature an all-star judge panel, NTX breweries sampling a dozen or so seasonal and unique specialty brews, a Q&A panel and award ceremony. Festivities start at 12 noon and there will be big screens showing the Cowboy game. So instead of sitting in your lounger screaming at your tv, why not come out and scream with a bunch of other people while sampling some great homebrews?

Show 181 – Looking For The Land of Sunshine

The great Mike D joins the boys this week as they review the goings on of the 9th Annual Do For It Records Halloween Shows. And honestly, there really isn’t much more to it then that, except that they all complain about the election, Pussy-gate turns to Weiner-gate, Dustin has a ridiculous Cowboys theory, The Texas Ag Commissioner is insane, Val Kilmer is about to die, and Matt discuses his spanking habits, but that’s not any different from any other week.

Coming up Nov. 11th,12th, and 13th is the 5th annual Fort Worth Rock Assembly at Lola’s. More information including complete lineup and schedule can be found here! It’s a fun event every year.

Show 180 – Do For It Records Halloween 2016

It’s shows like this one that made us want to start podcasting. One giant conversation that chases so many rabbits, gets so confusing, and ends up making you gasp for air because you are laughing so hard. Our good friends, James, Androo, David, and Mike D, from the Do For It Records family come over to promote this weekends festivities, The DFI Halloween Parties. Featuring Shaolin Death Squad as Faith No More, The Spectacle as System of a Down, Redefine as Depeche Mode, In Memory of Man as Clutch, and Cruella as Green Day.  Friday night’s show is at the Abbey Underground in Denton, Texas, and Saturday night’s show is at The Curtain Club in Dallas. If your not at one of theses shows, then you should be put out of your misery. And did I happen to mention I’m playing bass? We Also explore the world of negative Paul Stanley, negative races, and negative bodily functions. So strap in and get ready for a bunch of nonsense, this one was fun! – Dustin

Show 179 – #suckitstubbs

Back at the bar for another live show with the birthday boy in his birthday suit, Matt Stubbs. Yep he turns the big 41 and we had a giant show planned, but it all fell through, and we decided to drink whiskey…lots of it. The boys explain why they are at the bar, and what is going on around the Temple of Eye. They also discuss the big weekend of The Hourly Radio reunion shows, and all the debauchery that surround those nights. They also dove into the new Backmasking Bit and tear apart I Happy Am’s song The Prophet. A list was released over the best Industrial Bands of all time and of course we have to talk about the debates. A deep throat informat joins the boys to discuss the Romo vs Dak controversy and it’s socking. Plus there is a magical email from out favorite fan of all time. Also there might or night not have been charges pressed for waitress harassment.
