Show 280 – The Best of Fort Worth, Jessi, & Susie

This show is pretty special because our buddy Jessi Foster returns to the Temple with hot off the press copies of the Fort Worth Weekly’s Best of 2018 issue. So naturally we have to go through it and see who won what, but little did we know that we were sitting with the Coolest Female Celebrity in Fort Worth!!! We also do a little talking about the big show that happened at MASS on Saturday, the Cowboy game on Sunday, and the debacle Dustin and Susie found themselves in on Friday night. The Best of Issue is out, so hunt down your local Fort Worth Weekly newsstand and grab a copy NOW! And of course swing by and check out www.fwweekly.com

Show 279 – The Fibs Enter The Temple

The Fibs swung by the Temple this week to talk up their new album being released at MASS on September 28th. It’s a rad night of music with All Clean, New Fumes, and Same Brain. The guys and gal also talk about their recent road trips and their upcoming west coast swing. Dustin thinks Elon Musk is an idiot, Matt is trying to communicate with aliens, and the Beatles all masturbate together?

Check out more from The Fibs here and the album release here.

Show 278 – Michael Briggs and The Guy From…

This weeks guest is the owner/proprietor of Civil Audio in Denton, Michael Briggs. Michael has been recording bands up in Denton for over a decade and has overseen The Violitionist Sessions and Gutterth Productions. The boys talk with Michael about The Violitionist Sessions, recording in Denton, the bar and club scene, and what is probably one of the coolest concepts rolling through Denton right now, The Elk River Sessions. If you aren’t familiar with the Elk River Sessions, well all the information about this magical weekend in Missouri is revealed. Midway through the discussion Androo O’hern, you know the guy from Shaolin Death Squad, joins the conversation and talks about his experience with the 2018 Elk River Sessions. It’s an amazing concept and got the gears turning.

This Friday Michael is hosting a free all-ages show at Dan’s Silverleaf in Denton featuring some of the bands that have recorded at Civil Audio. Details can be seen in the flyer below.

If you are interested or looking for someone to record with, give Michael a shout and check him out at Civil Audio.

Show 277 – Stuff And Things And Ideas

This week the boys unleash something new upon the masses. But first they reflect upon the weekend, a weekend full of lasts. Friday night was the last show at the Abbey Underground in Denton and then roll into the last Huffer show at Mass. Sunday was the last Cowboys preseason home game before the regular season, and Monday might have been the last game Jose coaches for Manchester United. The tragedy at in Jacksonville pushes a few hot buttons, and Matt has an odd question that needs answers. The boys wrap up the show with a new segment they will be doing every once in a while called “JJTM Presents the Greatest Hits.” This week features the Eagles who just surpassed Michael Jackson’s Thriller as the highest grossing album.

Show 276 – Welcome to Hell

The boys had to do a little schedule shuffling this week so there’s no real guest in studio, unless you count Matt “Robotuner” Thomas, but he’s kinda like your next door neighbor that just shows up from time to time. It’s a rabbit hole chasing episode, full on typical bar talk that the JJTM was built on. A serious conversation about censorship and the way the world is headed breaks out, and then a ton of music talk wraps up the show.
