It’s the week of Thanksgiving and the boys thought it would be the perfect time to have Pinkish Black in the studio. And there isn’t much of the normal JJTM jackassery in this one, just two hours with the great Pinkish Black. The boys get into their latest album Bottom of the Morning and the release of the last Great Tyrant album, The Trouble With Being Born. Daron also tells the story of his American Idol experience. Also sitting in the studio with them is Ethen, the youngest guest that has ever entered the Temple, who is discovering the wonderful world of podcasting.

This show is also dedicated to our late friend, Clinton Pennington.

Tornados fell from the sky over the Temple of Eye, Dustin receives a badass coffee table book from the photographer Peter Dench, Zoo Magazine decides to close up shop, Fallout 4 causes Pornhub to take a drastic drop in traffic, Charlie Sheen has HIV and the boy go through the list of chicks he’s been through, Ween reunites, Don Vito dies, and foreplay leads to death. And what is wrong with Pam Oliver and screw Jerry Jones!

The great Anthony Sosa from the Ravin Charter and The Foo join the boys in studio this week to drink some space beer. The show starts out with them cracking open a bottle of Ninkasi’s Ground Control which had it’s yeast shot into space before brewing. Then they delve into the weekends activities, which included the 2016 Dallas Cowboy’s Cheerleader Calendar Release Party, The Fort Worth Rock Assembly 4, and Matt being a drunken mess…again. Sosa talks about his television watching habits, Matt talks about butt teeth (?), and they all spout their opinions about the Starbuck’s Red Cup controversy. Finally Dustin talks about about a My Life With a Thrill Kill Kult song that has a number of samples that have been haunting him for years and how he finally found the source of said samples.

This week our good friends Nick Russo and Casey Dennington paid us a visit to introduce us to their unique brand of rock and roll… Played on acoustics… That sounds a lot like Tenacious D. Yes NR/CD is a tribute to the greatest band to ever have a tribute band ever, Tenacious D. The boys are getting geared up for this weekend and the Do For It Records Halloween Party taking place on Friday at Curtain Club in Dallas and Saturday at Caves Lounge in Arlington. It’s going to be two nights of ridiculous badassness. Yes, badassness. A quick word to the wise, do not upgrade to OSX El Capitan if you have studio hardware that hasn’t been upgraded to it yet.
