Show 216 – F.U.I.L.Y.

Once again we are a day late, but another way to look at it is that we are kicking it old school and doing shows on the same day we started out on 4 years ago. This explosive episode starts out with a blistering track from the very brief local band The Beautiful Disaster. Matt is an elite photographer and gets hounded by the paparazzi, Dustin also gets hounded by the paparazzi at the mall. This is a very local music heavy show, so deal with it, after all it’s award season and this is the type of thing we like to talk about. Dustin warns about an impending local civil war within the music scene and calls for peace between the South and West sides. Susie gets an apology, kind of… Dustin also has an announcement concerning Jessie Frye. Finally a “tribute” is made to a fallen Japanese adult film actress.

Show 215 – A Day Late, Blame The Pope

Scheduling conflicts have risen around here, so the next few episodes are might be on weird off days, so get over it. We could just not do a show like some “other” podcasts might do. Which would you rather it be? Like normal the boys are a little all over the place on this one, and are joined by their friend and celebrity drummer of Drag The Ocean, Josh. The boys hit on Jerry Jones meeting the Pope, the Dirty Chewbacca and Cosby Sweater, Evolution, Kelloggs Gone Wild, North Korean being assholes, a shocking Matt revelation, and of course emails and voicemails. Show 214 – Summer Sun Sets in Dallas

How appropriate to do Show 214 in the 214 area code (Even though Dustin forgets how to count and says 215 at the beginning of the episode). The boys are on a road trip to Dallas to attend KXT 91.7fm Sun Sets with Henry The Archer and Beth Ditto. Thanks to traffic, the boys arrived right when Henry The Archer began their set with “War”. Between sets the boys setup shop and began the first half of the show from the lovely Dallas Arboretum with special guests swinging by to say hello. Then the second half of the show gets really stupid as the boys drive through Dallas, reminiscing on their favorite assassination spots and places fingers got pruney.

Show 213 – Jennifer Gets Confounded

This week Stubb’s had some last minute obligations to take care of (but still called in from time to time) so I dragged my wife, Jennifer kicking and screaming out to the studio. She takes it like a champ while answering hard hitting questions from the audience. We have a huge conversation about Ecosexuals and try to figure out if someone we know is one. There’s also a little bit of story telling about the time Van Halen played downtown Dallas for free, and the ridiculous news clips from back then. Finally, the second half of the show is dedicated to the last Confounded show, as their final set is played in it’s entirety. So enjoy this little bit of a wanky episode!

Show 212 – Azuline Enters The Temple

This week Chris from the band Azuline joined the boys in studio to discuss their new album and all things going on up Denton way. They’ve been working on the album Chapter One for a while now, and it will see it’s release on June 10th, at Andy’s in Denton. Idler, The Faps and The Great Hanging will also be joining them on the bill. There’s a Dillinger Escape Plan tie in with the album too. Speaking of which, the boys also get into their weekend trip down to Austin to see DEP play their “last” American show at Mohawk. The conversation then turns to the Branch Davidian compound, dooms day cults, and the Jonestown suicide tapes. Thanks Becky!
