Show 223 – The Ned Files Part 2

DSC_9497You were warned almost a week ahead of time, here is the conclusion of the EPIC meet up with the Ned Files gang. We’ve been drinking, been in the sun, and did I mention that we had been drinking? Things start to get a little whacky as we get towards the end of the show, but doesn’t that seem to be the norm? Thank you to Becky, Danny, and Eric for meeting up and making this all happen. It was a great time finally meeting you guys, and spending an evening hanging out! I hope we get together again soon!

Show 222 – The Ned Files Part 1

IMG_9911Like when Scooby and the gang teamed up with the Harlem Globe Trotters, this has been a show in the making for years. Or imagine having a pen pal for years and finally traveling across the country to see them, and not only spend an afternoon and evening with them, but also see them perform in a band, at a venue, in a place you have never been! Two powerful forces collide in a Mexican restaurant in Garden Grove, California, The Ned Files and JJTM. Cherub, Becky, and Number 2 are reunited to sit down with Dustin as he took a little vacation to sunny So Cal. It was so much fun, and there was so much gold, that two shows were recorded. This first episode covers a lot; from Eric’s (Cherub) bands, Number 2’s movie career, Becky’s love for Morrissey, observations about So Cal, Warped Tour, Battle of the Bands, and of course drinking. So sit back and plug your earholes with a little bit of history and listen as Dustin was as giddy as a school girl sitting at the table with a reunited Ned Files. Closing out the episode is the track Awake by Eric’s band, The Sovereign Artist. Seriously go check them out!

Screen Shot 2017-08-01 at 10.30.57 AM

And now for the epic conclusion of the JJTM 4 year anniversary extravaganza featuring our good friendsJames Jennings (Do For It Records, Hoof, The Spectacle) and Nick Russo (NRCD, Duell, The Intoxicated Gamer). In this half we dive more into what’s going on with Duell and their recording process, Hoof and what they are up to, and the ever so famous Do For It Halloween Shows. We also get to some Emails and Voicemails! We really want to thank everyone that has been a part of, been on, or taken time to listen to our show. One of the main reasons we keep doing it is because of the support and love you guys have shown us. Thank you for a fun 4 years.

Show 220 – The 4th Anniversary Part 1

JJTM!-Edit-Edit

Some how, some way, we’ve made it to the 4 year mark and it’s been one hell of a ride. New friendships have formed, and friendships have been lost; Bands have been formed and bands have broken up; Beer and whiskey were produced, and a lot of it was consumed; It’s been a wild and whacky 4 years. THANK YOU to everyone that has listened to and enjoyed this silly little show. We appreciate all of you.

This week James Jennings (Do For It Records, Hoof, The Spectacle) and Nick Russo (NRCD, Duell, The Intoxicated Gamer) joined us to help celebrate 4 years at none other then Texas Billiards. And it wouldn’t be a proper celebration if the show didn’t get rowdy and out of control. It got so crazy that it had to be divided into two parts. We talk to James about Hoof and The Spectacle, about whats going on in the world of Do For It, and we judge some submissions that have been sent to the Do For It in box. We talk with Nick about things going on in his life, the world of Duell, and Rent Seeker. We also touch upon the death of Chester Bennington, Houston, Manchester United and Manchester City and Lucky Whitehead. This is just the first part of an explosive two part series celebrating 4 years of mediocrity.

Show 217 – Independence Day All Star Show

Screen Shot 2017-07-06 at 12.24.54 AM

It’s July 4th, and the boys are celebrating Independence day at an undisclosed location on the border of Me-Thinks territory.  Several familiar voices from the past join the show, and there is a double first for the show that caught the boys totally offsides. Trigger warning: There are A LOT of tongue in cheek jokes and a few edits to protect the innocent. Thank you to Aaron and Charisse for having us over and letting us muck up their party in true JJTM fashion. No Drones were hurt in the making of this podcast.

Show 214 – Summer Sun Sets in Dallas

DSC_6415-Edit

How appropriate to do Show 214 in the 214 area code (Even though Dustin forgets how to count and says 215 at the beginning of the episode). The boys are on a road trip to Dallas to attend KXT 91.7fm Sun Sets with Henry The Archer and Beth Ditto. Thanks to traffic, the boys arrived right when Henry The Archer began their set with “War”. Between sets the boys setup shop and began the first half of the show from the lovely Dallas Arboretum with special guests swinging by to say hello. Then the second half of the show gets really stupid as the boys drive through Dallas, reminiscing on their favorite assassination spots and places fingers got pruney.
