The boys headed to Austin this weekend and for some reason thought it would be a good idea to roll pink (record) while driving down I-35. This special episode is the outcome of that.
Matt is absent this week so Susie and Rebekah role into the studio with Zach and Joe in tow. What happens is pure chaos while looking down the neck of a bottle of whiskey. Yes an entire bottle of whiskey is consumed during the first half of the show. Then Richard shows up and everything gets insane during a fun filled game of spin the bottle truth of dare. This one isn’t for the faint of heart. I’m sorry.
Old friends of the show Henry the Archer stop by the Temple to talk about their new upcoming album “Zero is a Number”. If you know the history of the boys and Henry the Archer, then you should know that this episode gets a little bit funky and a whole lot fun.
Zero is a Number release party will be 05.25.17 at Magnolia Motor Lounge in Fort Worth. Joining Henry The Archer will be North by North, Kites and Boomerangs, & Vylit. More information can be found here.
Matt requested a show from the bar, so that’s what the boys did this week, and it may not have been the best idea. They attempt to recap the inaugural Fortress Fest weekend, and the mischief and debauchery that went on there. Matt got a little freaked out on Saturday before destroying his knee, and Dustin goes off the rails about an out of body experience he had while watching Purity Ring. The great Robotuner swings by and catches everyone up with what is going on in his world. Also a new friend, Blue, pops on the show and discusses her upcoming adventure and solves so questions that the boys don’t really feel qualified to answer. Finally don’t forget about this weekends’ Brainhole Fest at Lola’s. More info can be found here.
Some of you may know Sammy Kidd as the front man of local garage rockers Mean Motor Scooter; others may know him as the man behind Brainhole Tapes; but now we can all refer to him as festival entrepreneur and organizer with the upcoming Brainhole Festival. 30 bands will descend upon one of our favorite watering holes, Lola’s, for three days of great music. The boys talk with Sammy about what it took to put on a 3 day festival like this, what’s in store for the festival, and what’s on the horizon for the entire Brainhole universe. The also talk about the previous weekends Thin Line Festival up in Denton, and this weekends Fortress Fest. It’s festival season boys and girls, and there is a ton of music coming to North Texas! The boys also bring back what is quickly becoming a popular segment, Wal-mart Metal!
